[ He can't help be a little smug as that deer-in-the-headlights melts into a rumble of pleasure. He knew that this was a good idea. He knew it, he knew it. A little later on he'll be sure to say "I fold you so" as much as angelicly possible.
Of course pleasures of the flesh aren't all inherently sinful. This is important to keep bodies working correctly, keep muscles and joints supple.
He lets out his own little sigh as strong fingers work into his spine, easing tension millennia old. It's good. It's so good.]
Mike is an asshole and you shouldn't listen to him. Or her. Whatever. My Dad left him in charge back home and fucked the whole thing up. You've done wonders. Could be a little less ... corporate.
[ And then he lets the contented silence fill the room again. ]
Monet did water lilies. Very pretty. We'll go to a gallery. You can have a look, I'm sure you'll like it. Da Vinci? He was okay. Not very good at smiles though, I always thought.
[The person touching him so nicely - massaging. That was massaging. They hit him between the shoulder blades just where his wing would be and the noise Gabriel made wasn't human. The sheer pleasure overwhelmed him and he was unable to respond for a moment before looking at him and putting his arms under his head.]
This feels really good.
[He frowns.] I like rules. Rules make things go easier. Without rules we'd probably be fighting each other constantly and she...
She wouldn't like that.
[He grimaced.] I like Da Vinci. Clearly you just have no taste and I'll have to see these Monet paintings for myself.
[HE turned to the human, pleased.]
...Can you? ...do that thing you just did? But lower? It'll hit my lower ...joints.
[There's a smug chuckle from the other table, the other Archangel's head still pillowed in his arms, but the chuckle says it all. Told you so.]
Of course it does. I suggested we do it. Did you think I'd suggest something not nice?
[Then the good humour fades a little, the personality much bigger than the meagre frame withdraws.]
We had rules too. Don't think that stops anything. Once Dad was gone... that was it. It was like all the glue holding us together had vanished.
[Free Will. They'd all got it, even if they didn't know they had. And with that came creativity and independance- not quite like humans, but enough to be just as destructive.]
I have plenty of taste. I just don't need to be painted every ten minutes to appreciate art.
