[Gabriel studies his phone for a moment, debating how much to share because he could and should talk to Michael about this except...it's embarrassing.]
It was frustrating. This corporation is becoming defective because it leaked when the woman who made ice found her mother. They sang a song about it. It was really quite ridiculous but her mother helped her and comforted her. Apparently the woman had incredible power and her mother helped her learn how to wield it. This body's chest ached. It wasn't as good as Julie Andrews but it was a nice song.
Their imaginations are interesting. I have never encountered anything like it. They're so powerful that it broke this corporation. It was extraordinary.
In any case. I have yet to encounter books that do this. Can they?
[He finishes typing it and hits send before realization hits his mind and he stares at it in horror before-]
...Aziraphale do not tell anyone about what I just texted you. It was a mistake. A fallacy this corporation is defective. When we return to heaven I will have it repaired and replaced.
[Aziraphale stares at the texts, wide-eyed, as if he was looking upon Agnes Nutter's prophecies all over again. A heartwarming scene in a children's film made Gabriel cry? Is he reading that correctly?
If they hadn't already averted the Apocalypse, he'd swear that the End Times were upon them.
But before he can get over his shock, Gabriel is trying to take it all back, and Aziraphale starts frantically typing out a reply, before he even knows what to write.]
No no no, there's nothing wrong with your corporation. It's just expressing the emotion you're feeling, it's supposed to do that. I won't tell anyone, I promise, but please don't try to fix this. There's nothing to fix! She gave us the ability to feel emotions, there is no shame in that.
[If there is one being who would know if there were something wrong with a human body it would be Aziraphale.
He liked his human body. This one. It displayed authority and it felt right.]
...we cannot presume to know her mind Aziraphale. But you are certain it was not an error physically then I will take your word for it.
[pause. For the moment.]
...it was a very good song. The woman - Elsa! Elsa loved her sister but she still found joy in service and even though it parted her from her sister she served and they were still close.
[that sure was a thing to think about. That two people who were so different could still love each other that made him profoundly uncomfortable.]
There was a lot more. Giant monsters and the snowman and one of those horses with horns on it's head and well. Aziraphale it's no sound of music but I did find it very enjoyable. I want to see it again but Michael and Sandalphon would think I had lost my mind.
[He doesn't appreciate having that ineffable argument turned around on him, but at least Gabriel is listening to him. And, oh, wow, is Gabriel actually listening to him???]
I am certain.
Humans understand that loving someone does not mean forcing them to behave a certain way or deny who they are. I believe the first movie made a similar point.
That's called a unicorn, the horse with a horn. You know, I haven't heard the soundtrack, but I'll give it a listen. And I don't see why you can't see it again, you are supposed to be doing research, correct? Aren't Michael and Sandalphon doing the same thing?
This is stupidly cute and tbh I needed it.
