[When the humans move forward Gabriel frowns before slowly, very slowly sliding off his wonderfully soft coat.]
This was specifically tailored to me. Do not hurt it, simple creature.
[He rubs at it before taking it off. His arms covered, his normally dazzling smile is weak as he nods. The strangeness of the situation wasn't lost on him - but if Crowley and Aziraphale could do it-
If Aziraphale could -
His smile turns into a grimace before he gently starts to roll up his sleeves.]
...This isn't going to hurt right? Or involve excessive...fluids?
[he's had humans touch him before. It's just been awhile and he didn't earn anything from it. Why was he so nervous? At least this place was pleasant. One of the nicer human dwellings he'd been in.
So. He relaxes.]
I trust you
[sort of. Kind of. Exhaling, he allowed himself to be left into a warm brown and white room that smelled very pleasant, enough that he relaxed. The place smelled relaxing and even the soft candles were peaceful.
Handed a soft towel and asked to disrobe, he doesn't hesitate.]
Humans invented this? It's very peaceful.
[clothes folded very carefully, he Pads out into the room .]
[ Its said with a grin though, so probably a joke. Right?
Anyway, as the taller version if himself goes to change, he follows suit. Although its much easier to snap his fingers and be in a nice silk robe. Less fumbling with buttons that way. Less clothes to fold too. Who folds clothes? Apart from his "brother".
Who, when they both emerge from changing, is... well. The low whistle says it all.]
You weren't hiding behind the door when they handed out vessels, were you?
And yes this was all them. So was art. Proper art. And dessert. And cheese.
I earned this. My old corporation was female. It was fine, just never felt right you know? I'm not Michael so when I was offered a chance to change things up I jumped at it and I guess...I just got lucky. I'm told this is a nice one.
[He hesitates, staring nervously at the humans before he nods.]
...What counts as proper art? I was painted. I've been painted in both my corporations.
[A brawny man gestures for Gabriel to move to one of the tables and lie down. The smile on his face is genuine as Gabriel stares at his counterpart.]
...What uh - what counts? We could talk about that. What kind of art you like.
[There's a slight waver in his voice as he lies down, nervous.]
It was Raphael that didn't get the choice back home. But it works better for her now, I think. Everyone needs to change it up sometimes. Can you... change that one? Tweak it?
[He's curious, he can't help that. There's so many differences between them and his own family, between Dad and their not-Dad. Mom.
He's still not used to that. But this is infinitely better than being dead, so he'll take it.
As for the humans around them? They're miraculously hearing a perfectly normal conversation. None of this.
He sheds the silk kimono and gets up on the table, shifting and squirming until he's comfortable and letting out a sigh as powerful hands begin to rub and knead knotted muscle.]
I suppose all of it is art. I'm just not a fan of the modern stuff. Back in the day, you know the Renaissance? Gorgeous stuff. Not that I don't enjoy a Monet. Or a Dali. But you have to be in the mood for it, don't you? I can look at Michaelangelo's stuff all day.
[The other archangel starts like a frightened deer when touched before - determined to not show up his other self - determined to not be seen as Weak he relaxes and makes the type of noise reserved for a dog getting scratched in just the right spot. Thankfully whatever keeps the humans to their tasks isn't heard and Gabriel just-
wow.
He offers a low groan in response and then...]
If I wanted to I guess I could. I still have my old one and Michael gave me a lot of shit for wanting a change but you know how they are just...always trying to be in charge. They could never handle that when mom went on sabbatical she left me in charge and nobody took me seriously in that old corporation.
It's terrible right? It says something about the state of reality if you ask me, but this one fits better and Feels better and I don't know what a Monet is. I bet he's no Da Vinci though. He painted us and that...that makes him great.
[BRB just - really set in his corporation at the moment because wow this feels great]
[ He can't help be a little smug as that deer-in-the-headlights melts into a rumble of pleasure. He knew that this was a good idea. He knew it, he knew it. A little later on he'll be sure to say "I fold you so" as much as angelicly possible.
Of course pleasures of the flesh aren't all inherently sinful. This is important to keep bodies working correctly, keep muscles and joints supple.
He lets out his own little sigh as strong fingers work into his spine, easing tension millennia old. It's good. It's so good.]
Mike is an asshole and you shouldn't listen to him. Or her. Whatever. My Dad left him in charge back home and fucked the whole thing up. You've done wonders. Could be a little less ... corporate.
[ And then he lets the contented silence fill the room again. ]
Monet did water lilies. Very pretty. We'll go to a gallery. You can have a look, I'm sure you'll like it. Da Vinci? He was okay. Not very good at smiles though, I always thought.
[The person touching him so nicely - massaging. That was massaging. They hit him between the shoulder blades just where his wing would be and the noise Gabriel made wasn't human. The sheer pleasure overwhelmed him and he was unable to respond for a moment before looking at him and putting his arms under his head.]
This feels really good.
[He frowns.] I like rules. Rules make things go easier. Without rules we'd probably be fighting each other constantly and she...
She wouldn't like that.
[He grimaced.] I like Da Vinci. Clearly you just have no taste and I'll have to see these Monet paintings for myself.
[HE turned to the human, pleased.]
...Can you? ...do that thing you just did? But lower? It'll hit my lower ...joints.
[There's a smug chuckle from the other table, the other Archangel's head still pillowed in his arms, but the chuckle says it all. Told you so.]
Of course it does. I suggested we do it. Did you think I'd suggest something not nice?
[Then the good humour fades a little, the personality much bigger than the meagre frame withdraws.]
We had rules too. Don't think that stops anything. Once Dad was gone... that was it. It was like all the glue holding us together had vanished.
[Free Will. They'd all got it, even if they didn't know they had. And with that came creativity and independance- not quite like humans, but enough to be just as destructive.]
I have plenty of taste. I just don't need to be painted every ten minutes to appreciate art.
suuuurre (this is adorable)

No it won't hurt. You'll enjoy it. And no, no fluid. You know you're weird, don't you?
[ Very weird. Roswell weird. Still... baby steps.]
You just lay back on this strange table and they'll make you feel like a new man. I promise, its utterly painless.
